It is our pleasure to announce that the 18th European Conference on Liquid Crystals (ECLC) takes place in June 14^st-18^th 2025 at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

Aberdeen has a long standing connection to liquid crystal research, with an active hub for this research area. Work on complex liquid crystal phases such as dimeric systems and twist-bend nematic phase helped place the city at the forefront of the discipline.

Aberdeen is known as the Granite City, or more romantically, the Silver City as its building sparkle in the granite.
